We need to clean house. Scrub it clean with bleach and soap. I’m talking about from politics to the civil service. We need a fresh start by breaking free and clean of the old ways of doing things. We need new leadership that will be young, forward thinking, honest and visionary enough to get us out of this confusion.
- New leadership , young, bald, innovative, resourceful, exposed, educated. True patriots that want to serve and not get rich from civil service or politics.
- Redefine priorities – invest in education, health care, poverty reduction, job creation, with the zeal and zest unheard of in Zambia
- Engage donors in an open, honest and accountable way – we need the donors. We have to be open with them and account for every dollar that they give us. We will set up systems of accountability in all departments and open books to the public and donors for review on expenditure. Most importantly, people will “feel” how the donor funds are being utilized in their day to day lives.
- Empower the people – educate them, give them tools to compete on the open Market fairly.
- To start businesses, to expand the middle class, to reach their dreams (whatever that may be)
Here is what we can expect if we implement these strategies:
- Restore dignity and honor to our county
- Look to the future full of hope and pride
- Our kids will go to school on full stomachs each day
- Our parents will have meaningful jobs paying decent wages
- Our infrastructure will be improved and able to accommodate economic growth
- Honest leaders that truly work for the people
